Public Team Pages: Give Your Grassroots Football Team a Home on the Web

Every SquadGod team can now have its own shareable public page — fixtures, results, record and more, all on one link you can send to parents, sponsors and supporters. And for youth teams, safeguarding is built in from the start.

SquadGod now gives every team a public page — a single shareable link showing your fixtures, results, season record and squad, with full control over what's visible. Youth teams get automatic safeguarding: photos and surnames are hidden by default and can't be turned on. And now there's a built-in recruiting mode to help you find new players, too.

Grassroots football (soccer) teams live everywhere except one place: the internet. Your fixtures are in a WhatsApp group. Your results are on a league website nobody checks. Your squad photos are on a parent's phone. Your sponsor has no link to point at. Meanwhile, grandparents who live an hour away have no way to follow the season.

That's why we built Public Team Pages — a clean, shareable web page for your team that pulls live from your SquadGod dashboard. You choose what to show. Everyone else just needs the link.

One Shareable Link

Send one URL to parents, grandparents, sponsors and supporters. No login required to view.

Choose What to Show

Toggle fixtures, results, W/D/L record, squad list, leaderboards and photos on or off.

Youth Safeguarding Built In

Youth teams automatically hide player photos and surnames — no matter what the coach toggles.

Recruit New Players

Switch on "Open to new players" and your page shows a recruiting badge with a contact button.

What You Can Show — and What's Opt-In

Coaches control everything from the Public Page button on the team dashboard. Some sections are on by default because they're useful and low-risk. Others are opt-in only — you have to deliberately switch them on.

Season Record (W/D/L)

On by default

Your overall win/draw/loss record for the season.

Upcoming Fixtures

On by default

Next matches with opponent, date and venue.

Recent Results

On by default

Recent completed matches with scores.

Squad List

Opt-in

Player names and positions. Opt-in only.

Stat Leaderboards

Opt-in

Player stat leaderboards (goals, assists, etc.). Opt-in only.

Player Photos

Opt-in

Squad photos. Opt-in only — and always disabled for youth teams.

Open to New Players

Opt-in

Shows a "Recruiting" badge and a contact button so people can enquire about joining.

You can also write a short team description that appears at the top of your public page — perfect for a welcome message, a note about your ethos, or a shout-out to your sponsor.

How to Turn It On

It takes about 30 seconds. From your team dashboard:

  1. 1Tap the Public Page button in the Coach Quick Actions row.
  2. 2Toggle on the sections you want to show — record, fixtures, results, squad, leaderboards, photos.
  3. 3Add a team description if you like, then tap Copy Link and share it.

That's it. The link uses your club name, team name and season — something like squadgod.app/team/riverside-fc-u12s-2026-27 — so it reads well in a text or a tweet. If you've built a strong team identity, the public page is where it lives for the world to see.

Safeguarding: Built In, Not Bolted On

If you coach a youth team, safeguarding isn't a nice-to-have — it's the first thing you think about when anything goes online. We built Public Team Pages with that in mind from day one.

Youth teams get automatic protection

When a team is flagged as a youth team in settings, the public page enforces two rules that cannot be overridden:

  • Player photos are always hidden

Even if a coach toggles "Show Photos" on, the public page will not display photos for youth teams. No exceptions.

  • Surnames are always hidden

Player names appear as "First Name + Last Initial" (e.g. "Jamie S.") on the public page, regardless of display settings elsewhere in the app.

These rules mean a coach can't accidentally expose a child's full name or face on a public URL — even if they're in a hurry and ticking every toggle. The safeguarding sits underneath the controls, not on top of them.

For adult teams, photos and full names are still opt-in — the coach has to deliberately switch them on. The default is always the safer option.

Recruit New Players from Your Public Page

Finding players is one of the hardest parts of running a grassroots team. Every season, coaches post in local Facebook groups, pin messages on village notice boards, and ask existing parents to "ask around" — and every season, some teams fold because they can't find that extra body.

Public Team Pages now have a built-in recruiting mode. Flip on "Open to new players" in the Public Page settings and two things happen on your public page:

A "Recruiting" badge on your team header

A bold green badge appears under your team name and season — instantly visible to anyone who opens the link. It says "looking for new players" without you having to spell it out.

A "Get in touch" contact button

Add a contact email and the page shows a button that opens a pre-filled email addressed to your coach — subject line included. Anyone who finds your page can reach out in one tap, no copy-pasting required.

It's a lightweight, always-on recruitment board that lives at your team's own URL. Share the link in a local parents' group, put it on a flyer, or pin it to the club Facebook page — anyone who clicks can see you're recruiting and get in touch directly.

💡 Tip: Pair the recruiting badge with a clear team description — where you train, what age group you are, what you're looking for. The more specific you are, the better the enquiries you'll get.

Who's the Public Page For?

👨‍👩‍👧 Parents & Grandparents

Relatives who can't make it to every match — especially distant grandparents — can follow the season without needing to log in or pester the coach for updates. Pair it with our live matchday feeds and they'll feel like they're on the touchline.

🤝 Sponsors

A public page gives your sponsor somewhere to point — a living, breathing team page that updates every week, not a static logo on a forgotten website. See our guide to getting a sponsor for your football team for how to use it in a pitch.

📋 Your League & County FA

A clean URL with your club name and season makes it easy to share team information with league officials or your County FA when they ask for it.

🔍 New Players & Parents

Someone moving to the area who's looking for a team can see your fixtures, results and a bit about the squad before they get in touch — a friendly first impression that beats a bare WhatsApp number.

We Don't Put You in a Directory

Public pages are discoverable by link, not by browsing. There's no public list of all SquadGod teams — nobody can stumble onto your team's page by scrolling a directory. The only people who see it are the people you share the link with.

We also ask search engines not to index public team pages, so your team's URL won't appear in Google search results. The page is public in the sense that anyone with the link can view it — not public in the sense that anyone can find it by searching.

If you ever want to take the page down, just switch it off from the Public Page modal. The link stops working immediately.

Turn Your Season Into a Story

A public team page is the simplest way to show the outside world what your squad is up to — without a website, without social media, and without putting player data at risk. It pulls straight from the fixtures you're already logging and the stats you're already tracking, so it updates itself every week.

If you've already got a team on SquadGod, head to your dashboard and tap the Public Page button. If you're new here, it takes two minutes to set up your team — and then your public page comes with it, free.

Give Your Team a Home on the Web

One link. Fixtures, results, record and squad — all pulled live from your dashboard. Safe for youth teams, shareable with everyone.
